APPSeCONNECT has continuously evolved from time to time. We recently received a certificate from Microsoft which made us very proud. We received the “Certified For Microsoft Dynamics” Certificate. A lot of hard work and manhours are involved for this achievement. We would like to thank Microsoft first of all for recognition of our work and giving us altogether a new platform.
ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning, is a business process management software which allows an organization (small scale, medium scale or enterprise level) to use integrated application based system to manage the online business properly and automate many back office functions which actually have a perfect co-relation with services, human resources, technologies etc.
ERP for any organization is a significant investment in IT resources, be it large organization or a SME. Microsoft Dynamics NAV is one of the most popular ERP system for SME segment. Though it is much less costly compared to Dynamics AX or SAP ECC ERP system as example which are mostly used in very large enterprises, but still to a SME, getting NAV Licenses and implementing it is quite costly.
Navision is the original ERP system for Microsoft Dynamics NAV. More specifically, “Navision” was the name of a Danish accounting package that was founded in 1983 and which Microsoft acquired in 2002. Microsoft has 4 business management systems that are part of a category of “Enterprise Resource Planning” systems or ERP systems and which are designed to connect different business units under one system.
Microsoft has just published a document on partner source about “What’s New in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 Beta” and it has some of the very limited features of Dynamics NAV 2017. In this beta version, there is increased efficiency in the incoming documents and even the inventory items can be categorized and segregated. You can even track the packages. We feel that there will be much more features available on the actual Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 version which is yet to be released.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 is the latest release of the popular NAV ERP series widely used in SMEs. NAV 2016 comes up with many latest features on top of previous versions, and one of the key advantages is to use Cloud Based RDBMS system which is Azure SQL. Now let’s discuss how and why Azure SQL can be beneficial to use with NAV 2016.
SAP Business One and MS Dynamics NAV, two most popular ERP systems available for Small and Midsize companies. When people want to compare these two, really they found difficulty. The comparison is almost head to head and often the key criteria becomes which one can fulfill most requirements with less customizations and in lesser cost. But if you think in long term, these two factors should not be the prime judgement point because within a blink of an eye you will have few GB of data punched into the ERP system in few months, and from that point its really difficult to turn back.
Being a SAAS (Software as a Service) based application, we believe multi-tenancy and security is one of the primary concern. We ensure that data from one client is completely isolated from another such that any customization we made to our platform or even done in any other client is not affecting another.
