With the growing adoption of eBusiness these days, it is evident that a major portion of businesses are employing various software solutions to cope up with the growing demand and to meet up to the requirements of their customers. It is important for aspiring business ventures to engage in practices and methodologies which not only cater to provide better quality of products/services but also help them in managing all their business data efficiently. With the extensive use of ERPs, CRMs, eCommerce platforms, 3PLs, etc. in the modern times, businesses are able to manage their data separately and keep a watch on how their progress is keeping up with their vision. There is, however, one complication that every eBusiness venture faces – with so many systems working for them and a hell lot of data being collected, it is a problem to procure all the data at a single place. Also, it is important for the applications to be connected to each other to be able to transfer data without any error, redundancy or duplication.
Traditionally, connecting applications was a tedious task and point-to-point integration had to be employed. This, however, proved to be time taking and with the addition of more applications, the complexity arose manifold. It was not long before something had to come up to save businesses from wasting time and effort on internal, technical aspects rather than working on external, business opportunity. There is where came in the Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) – a newer and more coherent method of application integration which could connect any application to each other using the vast and dynamic platform.
Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) is the new emerging platform that businesses are using to gain higher productivity and efficiency in their business. An iPaaS, such as APPSeCONNECT, is a smart and robust platform that seamlessly connects, synchronizes and relates data between various applications to bring all the information under a single roof. With the extensive growth of eCommerce business and digitalization in the world today, it is only evident that iPaaS is going to play a major role.
Although most of the businesses nowadays use integration platforms to connect and streamline their business operations, there are still glitches due to which the productivity suffers, data is lost and errors in business processes in incurred. To help and educate people more on iPaaS and how it would digitally transform and help your business, we recently organized a webinar titled “Digital Transformation with Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS)”. The webinar was scheduled on 28th of March 2018 and the key points covered were:
- What is iPaaS?
- How cloud can help a business to grow.
- Types of cloud software delivery.
- Benefits of iPaaS in eBusiness
- Understanding protocols on network communication
- Data Integration vs Application Integration
- What to expect from an iPaaS platform.
- Digital Transformation with iPaaS – A Success Story
The webinar was presented by Mr. Abhishek Sur, VP Product at InSync Tech-Fin Solutions. He is also a Microsoft MVP and an Intel Innovator. In addition to that, he is also a proactive blogger, speaker and a writer as well.
We would like to thank all the attendees who joined this amazing webinar. We hope it was useful. In case you have missed the webinar, you can check this Webinar Recap which we have recorded:

Here are some of the questions asked during the webinar:
1. Who will handle the updates?
In terms of APPSeCONNECT, we have two offerings – one is the Cloud offering and the other one is the on-premise offering. In case of the Cloud offering, any update to our platform on our server will be readily available to the users (all the updates). However, in case of the on-premise offering, the APPSeCONNECT Agent would not be updated automatically – your IT Manager would have to go to your server and install the latest version to get the updates.
2. What if APPSeCONNECT is connected to SAP Business One?
Yes, it can connect SAP Business One, SPAP ByDesign, as well as SAP ECC, All in One or HANA with any external application – eCommerce, ERP, CRM, etc. There is a list of apps that we connect using our integration platform.
3. Are integration patterns one-to-one or one-to-many?
Our solution is an iPaaS platform so it actually follows the one-to-many pattern scheme. In case data is received via the platform, it can be sent to many applications as and when required – if there is an API, we can easily push data to any application.
4. What is the development environment available?
So, as we have already said, we are completely on the web. Thus, in case of any most of the things like mapping and customizations or workflows, they can be easily accessed or changed from the web. However, we haven’t stopped the benefit of defining a connection using codes – in that case, you can download our SDK and you can build the connector using C# or any other high-level language.
