Dreamforce is the annual event of Salesforce which brings together legions of Salesforce users, developers, partners and enthusiasts to innovate and bring newer technologies at the hands of people. Dreamforce 2019, the 17th Dreamforce as of now, was a huge success and attendees witnessed Trailblazers bringing in better solutions.
Highlights of Dreamforce 2019!
The opening keynote was given by Mr. Marc Benioff, CEO at Salesforce where he discussed how Salesforce is transforming careers, companies, and communities, and how these leaders are shaping the future — all with the power of Salesforce’s technology and the Trailblazer Community.
Attendees also witnessed Leah McGowen, Vice President of Trailhead Evangelism and Trailblazer Community, making her way to center stage to welcome the audience to Dreamforce ‘19. She said:
“What a privilege to be standing here on the world’s largest enterprise, tech conference stage. As a woman, as an African-American, as a mom.”
Leah remarked on the communities’ shared desire to make the respective industries inclusive and welcoming, full of people from different racial backgrounds, sexual orientations, socioeconomic classes, abilities, and genders.
Soon after, Co-CEO Mr. Keith Block took up the stage to thank everyone for attending the event in such large swarms. He gave a shout out to the Salesforce community that is diverse and growing rapidly throughout the world. He said:
“The most important thing I can do is thank you for all you do. Thank you for inspiring and motivating us for over 20 years. What we’ve created together is incredible.”
Trailblazers like Merivis, Louis Vuitton and State Farm Insurance were also featured by Salesforce to show the audience how they always put their customers their top priority. Chief Digital Officer Fawad Ahmad said – “You might never meet a State Farm employee or get the same service agent every time, but with Salesforce 360, we can make customers feel known and adapt to their situation.”
The common thread to many of the stories today is digital transformation. Whether it’s someone reskilling to find a career in technology, or a company changing how and where they interact with their customers, Trailblazers are adapting and finding new ways to succeed.

All these combined together make up the Salesforce Customer 360. It is a set of capabilities that unites all your data points to build a single view of your customer and was one of the major introductions of the event. As Marc said, “Data is an important part of everything we are doing and everything you are doing as our customers.” Having a single source of truth allows you to give customers the kind of personalized, relevant experiences they want, at every touchpoint.
The other introduction was the voice capabilities in Salesforce Einstein. Now Einstein gives you guidance not just across sales, service, and marketing, but across the entire Customer 360.
Attendees also saw U.N. Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of U.N. Women Phumzile Ms. Mlambo-Ngcuka joining Keith Block on stage.
The keynote — with its diverse lineup of speakers — serves as a proof point that people with different perspectives coming together can achieve great things.
