Nextron – One Salesforce Org Connected to Four SAP Business One Databases with APPSeCONNECT

How Nextron built a single Salesforce sales view across Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway, with country-wise SAP Business One operations running in parallel through APPSeCONNECT.

The Story of Nextron

Nextron is a Nordic manufacturing and distribution business with sales teams working from one Salesforce org, and local finance and operations running in SAP Business One. Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway each run their own SAP B1 database to match local tax rules, financial reporting, and day-to-day processes. As sales grew across countries, the team needed the same data to stay aligned in both Salesforce and SAP Business One, without copying and pasting records between systems.

Growing Sales Visibility with Connected Systems

Nextron wanted one place for sales teams to see customers, products, pricing, and quotes. At the same time, each country needed to keep its SAP B1 setup independent. This created a clear need for a Salesforce SAP Business One integration that could connect one Salesforce org to four SAP B1 databases, with country routing, validation rules, and strict control over who owns what data in which system.

The Challenges

As operations spread across multiple countries, Nextron ran into a few recurring issues:

1. One CRM, Four ERP Databases

Before APPSeCONNECT: Data had to move between one Salesforce org and four different SAP B1 databases.

Impact:

  • Teams spent time recreating the same account and contact data in multiple places
  • Country-wise rules increased the chance of wrong routing
  • Reporting got messy when records drifted between systems
2. Country-Specific Rules Inside Every Flow

Before APPSeCONNECT: Each country had its own SAP B1 setup and local fields.

Impact:

  • A “one size fits all” connector could not match the reality across Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway
  • Data mapping needed country-wise logic on every sync
  • Small mismatches created rework for sales and ops teams
3. Data Ownership Needed Clear Boundaries

Before APPSeCONNECT: Products and pricing could easily get duplicated across systems.

Impact:

  • Pricing conflicts showed up when more than one system tried to be the source
  • Product records could get created twice with different formats
  • Teams lost trust in the numbers they saw in Salesforce

The Solution: APPSeCONNECT’s Salesforce and SAP Business One Integration

APPSeCONNECT set up a Salesforce to SAP Business One integration that connected one Salesforce org with four SAP B1 databases, with strict routing and rules per country.

1. Account and Contact Sync from Salesforce to SAP B1

After APPSeCONNECT:

  • Salesforce Accounts sync to SAP B1 Business Partners with country routing logic
  • Salesforce Contacts sync to SAP B1 contacts in the right country database

Outcome:

Sales teams create and update data once in Salesforce, and it reaches the correct SAP B1 company database.

2. Two-Way Updates for Business Partners, Contacts, and Addresses

After APPSeCONNECT:

  • SAP B1 Business Partner updates reflect back into Salesforce
  • SAP B1 contact changes sync back into Salesforce
  • Billing and shipping addresses maintained in SAP B1 sync to Salesforce with proper hierarchy

Outcome:

Country ops teams can maintain ERP-side details, and sales teams still see current data in Salesforce.

3. Products and Pricing Controlled from Norway

After APPSeCONNECT:

  • Products are mastered in Norway SAP B1 only
  • Items sync from Norway SAP B1 to Salesforce
  • Pricing syncs into Salesforce Pricebooks from Norway SAP B1

Outcome:

One clear source for product and pricing data, with fewer duplicates and fewer pricing conflicts.

4. Quotations and Opportunities Synced for Sales Teams

After APPSeCONNECT:

  • SAP B1 Quotations sync into Salesforce
  • Salesforce Opportunities are created and updated based on SAP B1 Quotations

Outcome:

Sales teams get direct visibility of ERP-side commercial documents inside Salesforce, without chasing updates across countries.

5. Hosted Monitoring and Error Handling Built for Production

After APPSeCONNECT:

  • Central monitoring in a hosted setup
  • Retry support and audit logs for tracking what moved, when, and where

Outcome:

Teams can spot issues fast and keep data moving without manual firefighting.

The Implementation Journey

The rollout focused on country-wise routing first, then flow-by-flow mapping based on each SAP B1 database. Data ownership rules were locked early, with Norway set as the single source for products and pricing. Once core master data was stable, quotation and opportunity sync was added so Salesforce reflected live selling activity from SAP B1.

The Results & Impact

  • One Salesforce org connected to four SAP Business One databases across the Nordics
  • Two-way sync across accounts, contacts, addresses, products, pricing, quotations, and opportunities
  • Less manual entry across Salesforce and SAP B1 teams
  • Cleaner data across regions, with clear ownership rules
  • Better sales visibility across Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway
  • A setup ready to add more countries later without rebuilding everything

Key Highlights

Key Highlights
  • Single Salesforce org with four SAP B1 databases
  • Country routing and validation on every flow
  • Products and pricing managed from Norway SAP B1 and pushed into Salesforce
  • SAP B1 quotations synced to Salesforce with opportunity mapping
  • Central monitoring, retries, and audit trail support
Why It Matters

Multi-country operations often end up with multiple ERP databases. A Salesforce SAP Business One integration needs more than simple sync. Nextron’s setup shows how one CRM can stay clean and consistent, even when each country runs its own SAP B1 database with local rules.
