In the growing world of eCommerce, Shopify has emerged as one of the most trusted platforms in the market. Very recently, Shopify came to India to host its flamboyant event, the Shopify Pursuit India 2018. The objective of this event was to bring together Shopify experts and enthusiasts, thought leaders and evangelists to expand and facilitate the growth of businesses as well as the eCommerce platform itself.

The event was organized at the ITC Gardenia, Bangalore from 22nd November till 23rd November and was filled with insights from local marketers as well as contribution from key Shopify players. Shopify Pursuit 2018 Bangalore was sponsored by Mobikasa and PayPal.


The event kicked off with the opening keynotes by Mr. Dave Newton, Senior Developer Products Lead, Shopify. He also brought forward the opportunities for Shopify partners.


@Pushowl, one of the most successful Shopify customers in India shared their story and dwelt deep on how they managed to gain 8000+ in just 2 years! Also, they had an amazing giveaway!

The event witnessed sessions and techtalks among 400+ attendees on topics like progressive customer growth, finding the expertise based on customer demands, growing a product as big as the company itself, etc. The lightning talks event also showcased some of the key player of Shopify from India who have very successfully sold Shopify Gold(Plus) to customers in the Asia-Pacific region. The evening meetup before the main day was held at WeWork Galaxy and people present their had great fun.


Mr. Subhajit Goswami, VP of Global Business Development, Mr. Sulagno Mukherjee, APPSeCONNECT product evangelist and Mr. Sarbajit Bhatta, Business Development Executive at InSync Tech-Fin Solutions were present at the Shopify Pursuit 2018 and had a great time networking with Shopify evangelists and eCommerce enthusiasts.

Shopify clearly mentioned how large their customer base is – a whopping 6,00,000 merchants on-board.
