With the growing use of multiple applications to support business processes, the need for maintaining and accessing all of them is also growing. An Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) comes into play here. A smart and robust iPaaS solution not only seamlessly integrates and consolidates all your data but also keeps them visible, secure and accessible. However, the practices used in the integration process are ever-changing as well.

APPSeCONNECT, an out-of-the-box integration platform, seeks to cater to the customers by providing an unparalleled platform and customer service. For this, APPSeCONNECT has recently launched its latest version – APPSeCONNECT 4.6.0 which introduced features like REST API integration, a new ProcessFlow suite and the power artificial intelligence into the data integration gameplay.

APPSeCONNECT Cloud Agent is the main component that processes data coming from different data sources. Here’s an Overview of Cloud Agent Scalability.

To help and educate people on how APPSeCONNECT 4.6.0 works and show the way around these features – REST API integration, ProcessFlow and the use of AI, APPSeCONNECT has organized a webinar titled ‘Explore REST API Integration, Process Flow Management and AI-based Error Handling in iPaaS

The webinar was held on the 28th of May 2020 and the following are the points that were addressed to in the webinar:

  • APPSeCONNECT Product Release 2020-21 Q1
  • REST API with oAuth 1.0
  • Integration with REST API
  • Introduction of ProcessFlow
  • How to work with ProcessFlow Management
  • Artificial Intelligence-based APPSeCONNECT Resolve
  • Demo
  • Q&A

But first, let’s know what these features are!

REST APIs are known by most of us – it is a widely used protocol that helps developers build APIs for information sharing. It inherently uses HTTP, and hence it is commonly popular to be used from Browser and Web. Most of the modern-day applications or cloud solutions provide REST APIs – this means that most of the applications nowadays have the capability and the integrity to be integrated with other apps.

Coming to ProcessFlow! It is a one-stop solution that helps developers develop and design integration. This is a graphical representation of the business flow, just like a workflow, but more flexible and free-flowing. It has a completely decoupled architecture and contains no restrictions on what nodes are going to be chosen for transferring data. With an easy interface and a drag-and-drop designer, ProcessFlow allows the implementer to quickly integrate between two or more applications, generate notifications etc. Users can find the deployment and execution options directly within the designer. And while it is being executed, it will also show the progress and all the required details that a user might need to debug a problem.

Some of the advantages of employing and using ProcessFlow are:

  • Completely revamped designer
  • No more code debugging
  • No need to install any software to use this integrated solution.
  • Completely web-based solution – open the browser to develop an integration solution.
  • The data is free-flowing.
  • Follows the design once deployed anywhere.
  • User-friendly
  • Take less time to develop

Now, Artificial intelligence or more specifically Machine learning has been deeply inculcated within APPSeCONNECT this time. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is a concept that tracks each and every data, executes an algorithm continuously to create a model. The model is then used up to predict a solution. APPSeCONNECT uses the power of AI in building the ProcessFlow designer by providing pre-packed templates and facilitates AI-based error handling during the integration process. The AI works in the background and learns itself, based on the best picks, and ranks the links accordingly, such that the most appropriate link goes up in order over time.
