SAP ECC and Magento (Adobe Commerce) Integration

CUSTOMER

APPSeCONNECT helps you with various scenarios by which you can have customers synchronized between the ERP environment along with the Magento store. You can choose a combination based on your nature of business as well as specific needs. B2C Customers and Guest Customers are supported using one-time customer within SAP, so various orders within SAP use the same B2C customer number, while individual customer information and address details are stored within the respective orders. Existing B2B Customers can be sent from SAP to Magento and the contact persons automatically get registered on Magento as users, so they can order on behalf of the company; you can set a filter on which contact person must go to Magento and set up an approval mechanism to have one type of contact person approve the order before it is downloaded into SAP. Company general details like name, address and email ID, contact persons associated with the company along with their details, ship-to locations of the company, and credit information also get synced with B2B customers. SAP ERP is considered the source for B2B customer master, and no changes are allowed within Magento.

ITEM & INVENTORY

You can manage the entire structure and product listing on your webstore from within SAP. Product Catalog in SAP ERP allows creating categories in a tree structure, which can be created in Magento from the Product Catalog in SAP ERP, and any changes to the product catalog are automatically synced. Products are listed under Magento categories and subcategories as associated in SAP ERP with pricing, weight, description, short description and other specifications, with prices taken by simulating the pricing procedure set up in SAP ERP; Simple and Configurable products are supported. Product attributes such as color, size and packaging, commonly called characteristics in SAP terminology, are synced to Magento from SAP ERP. Customer-specific real-time pricing is shown at the Magento front end, retrieved by simulating an order as it would have been created within SAP, so special discounts based on seasons or volume as well as taxes and freight coming from SAP are shown to the customer at checkout. Multimedia files like product images, brochures and product video URLs maintained in SAP ERP can be synced to and embedded into the Magento product information page. On the inventory side, Magento is updated with the latest stock value from ERP, taken as the unrestricted quantity available in the configured plant and storage location within SAP corresponding to the Magento store.

ORDER & SHIPMENT

All the Magento sales orders placed by web customers, as well as web sales orders placed by guest customers, will instantly be converted into ERP sales orders.

INVOICE

As soon as an invoice is posted to accounting within SAP, the invoice gets generated within Magento, and payment capture can also be triggered by Magento on receiving the invoice information from SAP for credit card orders. On clearing of the invoice within SAP, the invoice is also marked as paid within Magento, helping the customer understand and view invoices that are due for payment.

ADDITIONAL B2B FEATURES

B2B Mage facilitates maintaining separate accounts for a B2B Customer, Contact Person and Sales Rep. A B2B customer account is created in Magento against the Business Partner of SAP ERP, and Contact Person accounts are created in Magento from Contact Persons of the B.P. Master Data document in ERP; active Contact Persons can log in to Magento and place orders on behalf of the B2B customer account, with order and invoice history shown to each Contact Person. APPSeCONNECT identifies the Sales Rep associated with the Business Partner Master from SAP ERP and creates a Sales Rep account in Magento; Sales Reps can log in, select the B2B company account, and place an order as a Contact Person, with the Sales Rep synced to the order as a partner function. B2B customers having credit limits maintained in SAP ERP can be synced to Magento and used as a payment method, with APPSeCONNECT updating the credit limit balance based on consumption in Magento and periodically updating credit information based on payment and invoice-clearing activity within SAP.
